The three of us headed down to Chicago this past weekend to visit with family and friends. As always, it was great to have another opportunity to visit with Amy's mom & dad (they were in town to do some marriage counseling). Joel had a great time visiting with his great grandma, great aunts, great uncles and cousins. He got to see his cousin Matt wrestle and his cousin Shannon play basketball! He especially had fun at Uncle Jay & Aunt Diane's house during our "game night." We played boys against girls and unfortunately, the boys kicked butt! We'll have to have another re-match soon! I have to add, however, that Amy DID win the poker game on Friday night so the girls dad have some victory! Joel had his first taste of Chicago's famous Lou Malnati's Pizza and loved it!
It has been fun to see Joel walking around. He's really getting confident now. He's into everything so I constantly have my eyes peeled for trouble! He's waiting patiently for Grandpa & Grandma DeBoer to return from their Panama cruise. The five of us (G&G DeBoer, Curt, Amy & Joel) are heading to Florida in March, and we can't wait! We have already bought Joel his first bathing suit!
