Our little character...

Am I cute or what?!?

It's been another fun week with Joel. His hand is doing so much better. It's still healing, but it looks great and doesn't slow him down a bit!

The other afternoon, I "penned" him in our living room to play while I was making lunch. He started crying because he wanted to come into the kitchen with me. After a few minutes, I realized that he had become strangely quiet (which is always a sign that I should check to see what he is up to!). I turned around to find out what he was doing and there he was...standing right beside me with a big smile on his face! Apparently, my attempts to create a blockade between him and the kitchen need a little more work!

Joel had a fun weekend with Curt. They went up to Grand Rapids to the golf show together. Curt loves to come home at night and play golf with Joel in the living room. He got Joel a little toy golf set. Joel mostly likes to eat the handles of the clubs, but he has figured out how to hit the ball around with his putter! Dad is so proud!

Curt & Joel are getting to be best buds. As soon as I say the word "Daddy" he points to the garage door (where Curt comes home from work each night) and says "dada." It's too cute. Mom on the other hand is apparently not nearly as exciting. Joel has now said Dad (dada), sock (ock), dog, cat and book (ook). No mama yet!! But that's okay...all the hugs and sloppy kisses keep me going!
