Well...I hit Tulip Time in Holland with the kids. Our friends Lisa, Brady & Mady joined us for the fun. Of course, with kids, it ended up being a pretty short trip. Just a few pics, some walking around, then back home for naps!
The countdown is on for Baby D#3. I haven't gotten my official delivery date yet, but it should be sometime during the first week of August. We are getting things ready around the house which means that 1) we bumped Grace into Joel's room and they are adjusting to live in a trundle bed and 2) we are now proud owners of a smokin' hot minivan! ;) Well...I guess "smokin' hot" is relative, but it's definitely nice to have the extra room. I actually bought two little outfits for the hospital the other day. One for a boy & one for a girl. I'm really getting excited to meet this little person who will be joining the fam!

Joel only has a couple days left of preschool and then it's summer break! He's had a great year and loves his teachers and friends. He's looking forward to starting the 4's class next fall. He had his class field trip last week to the Nature Center and he loved it. Grace got to tag along, too, and she was in all her glory stomping around with the big kids. Joel made sure to introduce everyone to his sister, and she felt like a super-star!

It should be a fun summer hanging out with all of our friends. It's funny to think about the days when there were just couples hanging out and we were all getting married. Now there are kids everywhere with more on the way this summer. Here is a pic we took when we got together with just a few other families to visit farm animals. This pic is missing several of our friends, but you can see it's a fun crew!
Joel is as funny as ever. It's like having a mini-adult around the house most of the time. He always has a "plan" for the day, and he likes using the words "quite" and "actually" in every single sentence. Curt & I went on a weekend trip to California for a cousin's wedding, and my mom came to Michigan to watch the kids (along with my Gram, too!). The kids had so much fun! My mom asked Joel if there was anything that he needed from the store, and he told her he needed "some guy stuff. A watch and a wallet." So, he is now collecting dollars to keep in his wallet and he loves his rock star watch!

Grace is due for her own set of Grace-isms as her vocabulary grows and her personality continues to shine more and more. She is a girl through and through and loves princesses and dancing. She knows the names of all the Disney princesses and always picks out the pinkest, frilliest clothes and pajamas available to her. We have left the house on more than one occasion with Grace wearing her princess halloween costume OVER her clothes, and she can be found wearing a crown or holding a magic wand for a good portion of the day! She is especially fond of Curt lately, and it's super cute when she tells me that "dad's a nice guy. I love him."
